Meet Peter
Peter Hamburger, Chief Investment Officer
Peter and Nicole met in 2007, when they were both among the 100 candidates selected for an emerging leader’s rotational program at a global wealth management firm. They bonded quickly since majority of the candidates were clustered along both coasts and they were among the few in the Midwest. At the time, Peter’s family was living in London (where Peter was born and lived for 18 years prior to coming stateside for his studies at the University of Notre Dame), so Nicole invited him to join her family for Thanksgiving, and the rest was history.
Nicole and Peter maintained a close friendship through the decades as Peter served as the Chief Investment Officer for a $500 million financial advisory team in Birmingham, Michigan and most recently as a Vice President and Portfolio Insights Specialist at JP Morgan Asset Management, based out of Chicago. Through his most recent role, Peter became a trusted advisor to hundreds of advisor teams throughout the country, consulting on their investment line-ups and processes, and became a frequent speaker at nationwide conferences on portfolio construction, which will provide unique experience and value to the Prosperity team.
Nicole has always hoped that she and Peter might join forces and work together. The opportunity arose when Peter decided that he wanted to step back from the corporate world and work more closely with individuals and families to help them build wealth and create impact. He is delighted to join the Prosperity team as Chief Investment Officer and looks forward to collaborating with Nicole on investment management and how it relates to financial plan design.
